Our Story
The founder of HPPAC, Chris McCleary, has a very unique and robust background. Peering into his past shines a light on how Chris quickly established a niche in the Northwest Arkansas area for performance-related counseling and therapy. With 4 Master’s Degrees on top of a prestigious Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy, clients love Chris’ ability to deliver poignant information contextualized to the client’s individual needs. However, it’s Chris’ experiences and achievements that give him an edge in the field of performance psychology. A brief overview:
Lt Col (ret) McCleary was a top-gun fighter aviator in the F-15E Strike Eagle. He began his Air Force flying career with numerous training awards, including Distinguished Graduate, Commodore’s List, Air-to-Air Top Gun, and Top WSO. During his flying career, he amassed over 1,400 fighter hours with 340 being combat time, including Kosovo, Iraq, Africa, Europe, and Afghanistan. He was selected for and graduated from the prestigious Air Force Weapons Instructor Course, which is the Air Force’s prestigious, 6-month top gun school for best-in-class fighter aviators. Throughout his military service he garnered numerous awards, including Meritorious Service Medal, 3x Air Medals, 2x Aerial Achievement Medals, Instructor of the Year, “Instructor of Instructors,” “#1 of 5 Flight Commanders,” and more. He retired honorably from the Air Force.
And Chris’ performance and achievements were just as strong outside his successful military career. Before entering the service, he became a USTA ranked tennis player, ranking #1 in his state and #43 in the region and played as his high school’s #1 player two years in a row. He was awarded the team’s Most Valuable Player during his junior and senior years and was recruited to college on a tennis scholarship.
Chris is also a public speaker. He was an active leader at various times in the International Toastmaster’s club. He has been sought after for numerous radio interviews on a diverse set of topics. He continues publishing public video appearances and various podcast projects. He is passionate about biohacking, which is using behaviors to maximize the human potential and for goals such as boosting immunity, preventing illness, detoxifying the body, keeping energy high, and enhancing mood naturally. Outside of his career, he enjoys weightlifting, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, lounging in nature, and listening to educational podcasts.
In all of his successes, Chris learned how to turn towards anxiety, crash through barriers, suffer through heartache, defeat, and failure, and prove the naysayers wrong. This is why Chris initiated HPPAC in Northwest Arkansas: To help people with similar blocks to success. He understands the goal-driven life, the letdown of failures, the anxiety of competition, the debilitating threat of burnout, and the rewards of success. And hence, HPPAC was born to help others remove their barriers to success.
